My Story

Valeria is the youngest child of single mother Iris. She has an older brother named Carlos who is at CDL with her. They have been a part of the CDL family since 2015. Valeria has grown up at CDL as she has been with us since she was 40 days old. She is an intelligent and friendly little girl who loves playing on the park and with her girlfriends at CDL! 

Valeria and Carlos' Mom Iris came to Casa de Luz asking for help in the fall of 2015 after she separated from her husband. Iris told us that her dream is to "move forward, and work hard, so that my children can have the future that they deserve and where we don't depend on anyone."  Iris works at a local gas station and dreams of going to university one day. We are so thankful that God has given us the opportunity to partner with this family, and we are excited to see all that God is going to do in and through them.
