My Story

Axel, his sister Eliana, and his mother Melissa have been a part of the CDL family since August 2017. Axel is a very kind and intelligent boy! He loves to play soccer and outdoor games with the other boys at Casa de Luz and has made many friends. Before coming to Casa de Luz, Melissa was having trouble finding someone who could care for her children regularly, so when we gave her the news that her children could start coming to Casa de Luz, she was full of joy and relief. Melissa is a very hard-working mother who dreamed of being an Accountant when she arrived at Casa de Luz. In the fall of 2018, Melissa was accepted into CDL’s Scholarship Program to finish her education and in the summer of 2021, she graduated from a local university as an Accountant. We continue to pray for this family, that God would bless Melissa, Axel and Eliana, heal them, and touch their hearts so that they can realize the dreams and plans that God has for them.
