My Story

Jesus Adrian is one of two children of single Mother Susana. Jesus' Mom Susana came to Casa de Luz asking for help in the winter of 2020, after she separated from her husband and had no one to care for her children while she worked. Jesus has made lots of friends at CDL, and he loves playing with the toy cars there, especially Lightning McQueen! But his very favorite toy is the stuffed toy puppy that he carries with him wherever he goes. Since coming to CDL, Susana and her sons have finally found the stability that they so desperately needed in their lives. When we interviewed Susana and gave her the news that her children would be accepted into Casa de Luz, she was overwhelmed and cried tears of thankfulness! We are so thankful that Susana and her sons are part of the CDL family. Please pray for them that God would heal their hearts from all they've been through, and that Jesus would thrive amidst the loving, supportive environment at CDL.
