Skipping rope and watching movies
Daniela, her older sister Dayana, her older brother Diego, and their single mom Lucero have been a part of the Casa de Luz family since the winter of 2020. Lucero came to CDL asking for her help after she separated from her husband. She works long hours at a tortilla restaurant in a neighboring town and had no one to care for her children while she worked. Though initially Daniela had trouble adjusting to the structure and routine of CDL, she has now integrated well into her class, and loves spending her days with her teacher and friends. She is thriving! Daniela enjoys playing board games and puzzles with the other girls at CDL, she also likes to play on the park. Daniela and her siblings have flourished amidst the loving and stable environment of Casa de Luz and are making great strides towards catching up academically as well. We are so thankful to have Daniela and her family with us at CDL and look forward to all that God is going to do in her life and family.
