My Story

Cristian is one of 4 children of single Mother, Mayra. His older sisters, Mariana and Deyse, are a part of CDL's Youth Mentorship and Scholarship programs, and his brother Eliezar attends CDL with him. Cristian and his family arrived at CDL in the winter of 2021 when they moved to Primo Tapia from another Mexican state hoping for a fresh start. Cristian is a very active, energetic and friendly boy. He has made many good friends in his class at CDL and has greatly advanced academically, learning to read and write and receiving recognition at school for his good grades. Last year his mother started working at CDL’s K47 café, and she recently put a down payment on a lot! She is working very hard towards the dream of one day having a home for their family. We are so happy to have Cristian and his family here with us at CDL and are so thankful for all that God is doing in and through them!
