My Story

Marlene, her younger sister Nancy, and her mother Marisol have been a part of the Casa de Luz family since the fall of 2022. They recently moved from another Mexican state, and Marisol had begun working at a restaurant owned by CDL mom Marilu. She had no one to care for her daughters while she worked. Marlene loves spending her days with us at Casa de Luz. She has made many good friends, her favorite color is purple, and she loves to ride her bike. Slowly we can see Marlene and her family begin to heal from all they have been through. We can even see them begin to dream again. Marlene’s mom Marisol dreams of having a car one day. We are so thankful to have Marlene and her family with us at Casa de Luz, and we look forward to all that God is going to do in and through them.
