My Story

Perla and her older brother Brayan are the children of single mom, Alma. Perla is a very sweet and shy little girl. She loves going to school and learning and we are thankful that because she is with us at Casa de Luz she can now attend school regularly. Perla and her brother have been a part of CDL since the Fall of 2023. Their mom came to us asking for help after she heard about CDL from another Casa de Luz mom who she works cleaning houses with. Perla’s mom had been taking her children to work with her as she had no one to watch them while she was there. We are so thankful that she reached out for help and the children now have safety and care each day, and their mother can have a calm heart and mind, knowing they are taken care of while she works. Though it is new to her, Perla loves hearing her teacher tell stories from the bible and singing worship songs with her class. We ask that you join us in praying that God would renew her heart and that she would experience healing from the difficulties she has lived in her past.
