My Story

Mateo and his single mother Beatriz have been at Casa de Luz since the Fall of 2023 and we are so thankful to have them with us. Mateo is a very sweet, but shy little boy. He brings his blanket with him everywhere all of the time as a comfort to him. Mateo’s mom came to Casa de Luz asking for help after she was abandoned by her husband and had to raise three children on her own. Her oldest son stopped going to school and started working to help his mother with their household expenses as she was struggling to provide for her three children on her own and was taking Mateo to work with her. We pray that Mateo and his family would find the stability they need at Casa de Luz and we look forward to seeing all that God will do in and through them.
