My Story

Yeimy and her mother Martha and brother Joahan have been a part of Casa de Luz since the fall of 2023, and we are so thankful to have them with us. Yeimy has settled into her classroom well. She is quiet but she is learning to trust her teacher. She likes Baby Yoda and drawing and her favourite colour is baby blue. Yeimy’s mother works in spa services such as skin care, nails, and massage. As a single mom she was having a hard time meeting tthe needs of her children, so she came to Casa de Luz for support. Yeimy’s mom dreams of one day finishing her high school education and working towards providing a stable home of their own for her children.
