My Story

Joahan and his mother Martha and sister Yeimy have been a part of Casa de Luz since the fall of 2023, and we are so thankful to have them with us. Joahan is a very serious boy and keeps to himself most of the time, though he really enjoys playing soccer. Joahan’s mother works in spa services such as skin care, nails, and massage. As a single mom she was having a hard time meeting the needs of her children, so she came to Casa de Luz for support. Joahan’s mom dreams of one day finishing her high school education and working towards providing a stable home of their own for her children.
