My Story

Anelis and her younger brother Aaron are the children of single mom, Gissel. She is a sweet girl who arrives at Casa de Luz each day with a smile and is enjoying making friends here. Anelis and her little brother have been a part of CDL since the winter of 2023. Their mom came to us asking for help because she was struggling to provide the kind of life she wanted for her children on her own. She was working to provide but had no one to care for her children while she was at work. We are so glad that she came and asked for help. Anelis has settled into her class so well and we know this was the stability she needed in her life. We pray that God will continue to heal her heart from all that she has lived and experienced.
