My Story

Azul and her older sister Abril are the children of single mother, Uvalda. Azul has been a part of Casa de Luz since the Spring of 2025 when Uvalda came to us asking for help. Azul was being cared for by her older sister while her mom worked, but this meant her sister was unable to attend school. When Uvalda learned that her girls could be a part of CDL, she was so happy. Azul arrived at Casa de Luz very unsettled as she had only ever been with her mother or sister. Slowly, she has settled into the stability and care of CDL, and we have begun to see her beautiful smile and sweet personality.
