My Story

Rey is the son of single mother, Laura. Rey and his little brother Ernesto attend CDL’s Children’s Center. They have been a part of the Casa de Luz family since the Spring of 2025. Rey's mother came to CDL asking for help because she desperately wanted a safe place for her children to be cared for while she worked to provide for them. As a family they are still in the process of settling in and figuring out the routine of CDL. Rey has had difficulties with his speech since he was little and though his mother has sought help, she hasn’t received any until now at Casa de Luz. We are so thankful to have Rey and his family with us, and we look forward to walking alongside them as they grow!
