My Story

Efraim and his older sisters, Aylin and Naomi, have been at Casa de Luz since February of 2019. Efraim’s Mom, Carla, is a very dedicated Mom who works hard at one of CDL’s small businesses, K47 Cafe. Carla dreams of finishing her high school education so that she can give a better future to her children, and dreams of owning her own home one day. Since coming to CDL, Carla and her children have finally found the stability that they so desperately needed in their lives. Efraim always has a huge smile on his face, is full of energy, and is very intelligent! He loves playing with soccer balls, on the park at CDL, and with toy cars. Efraim has flourished emotionally, behaviorally and academically since being at CDL. We are so thankful that God has given us the opportunity to partner with this family, and we are thankful to see all that God is doing in and through them.
