My Story

Eliana and her younger brother Axel are the children of Melissa. Eliana is a quiet but very friendly girl who loves spending time in the Casa de Luz Youth Mentorship program! She loves reading and making crafts and has made some good friends in the youth program. Eliana, Axel and Melissa became a part of the Casa de Luz family in August 2017 when Melissa separated from her husband. Melissa is a very hard-working mother. She works for a local phone call center, and since the fall of 2018 received a scholarship as part of CDL’s Scholarship Program to finish her education. In the fall of 2021, she graduated from a local university with a degree in accounting. We are so proud of all that Melissa has accomplished! We continue to pray for this family, that God would bless Melissa, Axel and Eliana, heal them, and touch their hearts so that they can realize the dreams and plans that God has for them.
