Alonso’s grandmother came to us asking for help for her grandson. She spends a lot of time caring for him and recognizes that he needs more than she could offer. She saw that our youth mentorship program could be a great place for him to grow and learn with other children his age. Alonso enjoys participating in all the activities that are part of our youth program including bible study, going to church together, and being a volunteer at CDL’s Children’s Center. We are so thankful to have him with us at Casa de Luz.
