My Story

Rafael (nicknamed “Chinito”) and his younger sister Ivana are the children of CDL staff member, Becky. Chinito is a friendly young man who is very passionate about playing soccer. He plays on a local soccer team in Primo Tapia and is very talented. Chinito also works at CDL’s small business, Buen Taco, and is a part of CDL’s Scholarship Program. Chinito and his family have been a part of CDL since the Spring of 2018. Becky is the leader of CDL’s Youth Mentorship program, and we are so thankful for the direction, guidance, and the way she serves the teens in her care. Her husband, Rafael, works in a local lobster restaurant as a waiter. Chinito and his family are so happy to be a part of CDL, and a part of all God is doing in and through our ministry. 

Chinito is very thankful to be a part of CDL’s Scholarship Program, and dreams of studying International Business at the University one day.
