My Story

Diego, his sisters Dayana and Daniela, and their single mom Lucero have been a part of the Casa de Luz family since the winter of 2020. Lucero came to CDL asking for her help after she separated from her husband. She works long hours at a tortilla restaurant in a neighboring town and had no one to care for her children while she worked. Diego has really thrived amidst the stable and focused attention that he has received at CDL. He has made good friends in his class and loves playing soccer and lego with the other boys. Diego had eye surgery last year which corrected his vision. He can now see the board in his class and is learning to read with the help of his teachers. We are so thankful to have Diego and his family with us at CDL and are thankful for all that God is doing in his life and family.
