Single Mother, 4 Children
Luis, Isaac, Yair
Andoeni has been a part of the Casa de Luz family since she was a young girl, along with her two older brothers and one younger brother, and her single mother Violeta. When she was in middle school, Andoeni and her family graduated from CDL, as they no longer required the support of the ministry. As Andoeni started high school, however, her mother Violeta was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Since 2022, CDLhas been walking alongside the family during this difficult time, supporting in practical ways and with emotional and spiritual support. In the winter of 2024, Andoeni had dropped out of high school, as Violeta is no longer able to work and her family could not afford the financial expense of her attending school. When CDL heard that Andoeni had dropped out of high school, the other CDL mothers organized a sale to raise funds for the registration fees, and CDL extended the invitation to Andoeni for her to join our scholarship program. When we shared with Andoeni that the registration fee had been raised and she had the opportunity to go back to school, her face just beamed with joy and thankfulness. We are so thankful to have the opportunity to walk alongside Violeta, Andoeni and her brothers during such an incredibly difficult time. Thank you for making Andoeni’s scholarship possible.
