My Story

Deyse is one of 4 children of single Mother, Mayra. Her sister Mariana is part of CDL's Youth Mentorship Program and Scholarship Program with her and her brothers Cristian and Eliezer attend CDL's children’s center every day. Deyse has adapted well to CDL's Youth Mentorship Program and has slowly started to heal from all that she has been through. Deyse and her family arrived at CDL in the winter of 2021. Her mother Mayra has been through a lot of turmoil in her life and moved to Primo Tapia from another Mexican state hoping for a fresh start. In the fall of 2022, Deyse was accepted into CDL’s Scholarship program due to her good grades, excellent attitude and hard work ethic. She is currently working towards completing her high school education and works at a local restaurant owned by a CDL Mom on the weekends. We are so happy to have Deyse and her family here with us at CDL and look forward to all that God is going to do in and through them!
