My Story

Darien, his older sister Amaia, and her mom Leydi came to Casa de Luz in the fall of 2022. Darien has thrived amidst the stability of Casa de Luz. His mom made the difficult decision to separate from her husband due to his addictions and for the stability of her children. We are so thankful that Darien's father is now in a rehabilitation center. However, it leaves her mom to care for and provide for her two children on her own. This is why she came to CDL asking for help.  

 Darien’s mom is working hard to give her children a better life and she dreams of studying nursing one day! We are so thankful to have Amaia, Darien and Leydi with us at Casa de Luz.
