Ian Rodriguez is one of 3 children of single mother Ruth. His older sister Areli is part of CDL’s Youth Mentorship Program, and his older sister Aylin attends CDL with him. Ian loves to play outside at CDL and can usually be found playing soccer with the other kids. His Mom Ruth came to Casa de Luz desperately asking for help after separating from her husband. Ruth had recently started working in housekeeping at a local hotel, and she had no one to care for her children while she worked. They were being left home alone to care for themselves. When we interviewed Ruth, prayed with her, and gave her the news that her children would be accepted into Casa de Luz, she cried tears of joy and thankfulness! Ruth is also currently enrolled in CDL’s ESL class and is learning to speak English. We are so thankful that God has given us the opportunity to partner with this family, and we are excited to see all that God is going to do in and through them. Ruth wants you to know that, "you have helped me so much with my children, and I don't really have any words to express to you my life and thankfulness for all that you have done for my family. Thank you."
